Meet the moose in Gros Morne

May month is best known in Gros Morne National Park for the MOOSE.   The Park has one of the highest densities of Moose in the world and they all come out to the roadsides in May to graze on fresh vegetation and pose for photos.  Driving on Route 430 from Wiltondale to Rocky Harbour, May visitors can often see 30 or more of these spectacular mammals along the highway and surrounding areas.   Careful driving is required but these gentle giants are seldom aggressive unless stressed or provoked.
